The next chapter of AI in ordinary lives

The next chapter of artificial intelligence will be written in ordinary lives, in how people work, learn, receive care and run businesses. As intelligence becomes widely available, the systems beneath it become increasingly physical. India’s opportunity is to connect that reach with the data infrastructure and clean energy needed to sustain it at scale.

AI access across the economy

The Economics of Growth

The next frontier of AI is the distribution of capability. India’s more than 60 million MSMEs show the scale of what that means. Advanced tools are moving closer to the point where decisions are made, giving smaller enterprises faster access to information, analysis and specialised support. The developmental gain is broader participation in productivity growth, not simply greater efficiency inside the largest firms.

Data centre capacity

The Second Source for the World

The demand from data centres is large, continuous and concentrated, creating a distinct requirement for the electricity system. Meeting it cleanly requires renewable generation backed by storage, transmission and firm capacity. Upcoming data centres are expected to add about 5.64 GW of power demand by 2031–32. The investment required to serve them also strengthens the electricity system needed for manufacturing, mobility, cities and the next phase of economic growth.

Clean power for AI infrastructure

The Electrostate Advantage

The demand from data centres is large, continuous and concentrated, creating a distinct requirement for the electricity system. Meeting it cleanly requires renewable generation backed by storage, transmission and firm capacity. Upcoming data centres are expected to add about 5.64 GW of power demand by 2031–32. The investment required to serve them also strengthens the electricity system needed for manufacturing, mobility, cities and the next phase of economic growth.

AI’s next chapter is therefore a development story built on physical infrastructure. India’s task is to make intelligence widely available while powering that expansion through a cleaner, stronger electricity system.
